These concepts from elementary math were needed for practice tests.

We have not reviewed them all in class.

Even and Odd functions:

If a function f(x) is even and if (a,b) is a point on the graph of f then

so is the point (-a,b).

 

If a function f(x) is odd and if (a,b) is a point on the graph of f then

so is the point (-a,-b).

 

Area of a triangle ABC = ½ ab sin (C)

Inverse functions:

 

If two functions f(x) and g(x) are inverses then if (a,b) is a point of the function f(x)

then (b,a) is a point of g(x).  AND f '(a) = 1/g ' (b)
