Expanding Logs
Understanding how to expand logs is simple. There are two ways to do it.
One of these is to take the number in the given log and factor it into two
numbers.
Then add the logs of each number.
Example:
log 10
10 = 2x5
log2 + log5 = log10
The other method is to find a multiple of the number in the given log.
Then to take the log of that number and have it subtracted by the log of the
number that is needed to divide the multiple to the original number.
Example:
log 10
10 = 30/3
log30 - log3 = log10
